CATCH Trust and Lucha Lunako recently embarked on an exciting new collaboration, launching a 12-week learning programme for our coaches and alumni focusing on financial literacy, numeracy and entrepreneurship. Lucha Lunako has integrated three of their courses (“Street Smart Startups”, “Financial Freedom” and “M is for Money”) into one impactful and inspiring active educational experience. The integrated approach provides our participants with the opportunity to learn more skills, obtain more knowledge, and transform habits and behaviours. This initiative represents a significant step towards empowering our community not only within the realm of cricket, but also in their broader personal and professional lives.

About Lucha Lunako
Lucha Lunako (“The Youth Have It” in English) is dedicated to creating pathways to sustainable income through employment or entrepreneurship. They have developed a suite of courses that are designed to shift mental models in young people, helping them to unlock their potential and take active ownership of their future. Lucha Lunako’s new trademarked holistic youth development and support framework yields both an immediate benefit to the individual, but also positively influences their friends, family and community. Through strategic partnerships, innovative approaches, and advocacy – all underpinned by evidence-based research – Lucha Lunako aims to create measurable impact in the youth sector.

Through this course, we hope to achieve several key objectives:

- Promote Financial Independence: Teaching numeracy, financial literacy and smart investment practices will empower participants with money management skills needed to achieve financial freedom and security.
- Holistic Development: Beyond the cricket field, this initiative aims to nurture well-rounded individuals who are prepared for various life challenges and opportunities.
