The Women’s Empowerment Programme (WEP) concluded its 2025 journey on 24 October 2025, marking the end of a year filled with learning, discovery, laughter, and at times, even tears. But above all, it was a year defined by immense growth and empowerment.
Participants and facilitators came together for an afternoon designed purely for fun, connection, and celebration. After months of deep personal development, tough conversations, and meaningful learning, the young women were treated to a joyful, activity-filled closing session, a moment to breathe, laugh, and reflect on the incredible journey they’ve walked together.
To bring the celebration to life, participants were divided into groups and rotated through five creative and engaging stations. Each station offered something different, yet all were designed to spark joy, collaboration, and expression. Activities ranged from:
- Recreating photos from prompts,
- Drawing from an image,
- Exploring creativity through AI-generated images,
- Fun and refreshing water games,
- And a final reflective station where participants expressed what WEP 2025 meant to them through art on canvas.
The afternoon captured the heart of what WEP stands for, community, confidence, creativity, and empowerment.
Reflecting on the past year, facilitator Siobhan Thatcher shared:
“WEP 2025 has been another successful year where the CATCH team has had the opportunity to change and impact the lives of young women. With the addition of the Digital Stream, we were able to take the programme to a new level, be more inclusive, and ensure continued relevance for our beneficiaries. WEP remains a core CATCH offering, empowering young women to become their best versions of themselves.”
